Good Morning Parents!

We are almost halfway through our season! Thank you for your time, energy and efforts volunteering to make our team successful. Our success relies on parent volunteers like you.

A few reminders. If you have any questions about the following topics, please speak with Coach Melissa before or after practice. You may also send a message to the board via the “Contact Us” feature on the SwimTopia app or www.annabluedolphins.com.

NO PHOTOS FROM BEHIND THE BLOCKS – This is non-negotiable. We adhere to USA Swimming policies and practices and photography from behind the swim block is strictly prohibited. This is a zero-tolerance policy and is place for the safety of ALL swimmers.

ONLY SHIFT WORKERS ARE ALLOWED ON DECK – Consider this: As parents, are we allowed at half court to watch our son or daughter shoot free throws during a game? Or stand next to the pitching mound while they are at bat? The pool and pool deck is our “field” or “court”. Spectators must remain outside the fence to cheer on their swimmer.

DID YOUR MEET STATUS CHANGE? – We get it. Schedules are hectic. Family emergencies happen. If you mark your swimmer as attending a meet and cannot change the status in the app, YOU MUST CONTACT COACH MELISSA. Lineups for swim meets are prepared in advance and need to be amended if your swimmer will miss.

SWIMMER CONDUCT IN THE DUGOUT DURING MEETS – Coach Melissa will be talking with swimmers about correct behavior and conduct in the dugout during meets. Ask your swimmer what they should be doing in the dugout during the meet.

DID YOU KNOW WE KEEP SCORE AT SWIM MEETS? - We are putting up some MONSTER numbers at our home meets! We won our first home meet against DuQuoin and also won our Anna Invite! That was against SEVEN teams! Last night, we came very close in score to a seasoned Marion Marlins team. Our swimmers are improving and we have the numbers to prove it!
